My case was rejected with a "Database temporarily unavailable" error. What does that mean?

What to do when a case is rejected with a database unavailable message and how to resolve it.

If your case was rejected with the message "Database temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." this is a temporary system error that is not caused by anything you did on the case. The rejection is not related to pricing, items, or a facility review — it is a technical issue that typically resolves on its own.

What to do

Wait a few minutes and then resubmit the case. In most instances the error clears on its own and the case will go through successfully on the next attempt.

If the error continues after resubmitting

If you've attempted to resubmit and are still seeing the same rejection message, submit a ticket by clicking the chat icon in the bottom right corner and include:

  • Your DO#

  • The exact rejection message you are seeing

  • How many times you have attempted to resubmit

Our team will investigate and follow up with next steps.

Note: Do not make any changes to the case items or pricing before resubmitting — this is a system error, not a case content issue. Modifying the case before resubmitting is unnecessary and may cause additional complications.
