How do I update the surgery type or case code on a rejected case?

How to correct the surgery type, case code, or procedure on a rejected Helia case before resubmitting to the facility for review.

Once a case has been submitted, reps cannot edit case information such as the surgery type or case code — these fields are locked on the rep side. The facility team has the ability to update these directly on the order from their web platform.

How the facility can update the surgery type or case code

  • Log into heliaconnect.com and open the delivery order.

  • Locate the Surgery Type or Case Code field on the order.

  • Click the field and select or enter the correct value.

  • Save the change — the order will reflect the updated information.

What if your facility needs guidance?

If the facility team is unsure how to make the correction or the field isn't editable from their side, they can submit a ticket by clicking the chat icon in the bottom right corner with the DO# and the correct surgery type or case code. Our team can assist with corrections that can't be made directly.

Tip: When reaching out to the facility about a correction, include the specific value you need in your activity feed comment — for example, "Please update Surgery Type to Total Joint Replacement." The more specific you are, the faster this gets resolved.
