Why is my app updating and can I keep working?

What contract updates mean in Helia Connect, how background downloads work, and what to do if an update fails on your device.

When Helia pushes a contract or pricing update, the Helia Connect app needs to download and install the latest data to your device. Here's what that means for you and how it works.

How contract updates work

Contract updates now download automatically in the background, so you can continue building and submitting cases while the update installs. You do not need to keep the app open or wait for the download to finish.

If an update fails

In rare cases, a contract update may not install successfully. When that happens:

  • You'll see an alert in the app: "Contract Update Failed | Finalize the updates to avoid order rejections."

  • A notification icon will appear next to the More menu prompting you to manually complete the update.

  • Tap the prompt and follow the on-screen steps to finalize.

Note: Do not ignore a failed update alert. Submitting cases without the latest contract data can cause pricing errors or rejections.

Make sure your app is up to date

These improvements require the latest version of Helia Connect.

  • iOS: App Version 2.27.1 - 115 or later

  • Android: App Version 2.27.1 - 5802 or later

Tip: If the app appears frozen or unresponsive during an update, force-quit and relaunch. Most updates complete in the background within a few minutes on a strong Wi-Fi connection.
